The Sermon on the Mount [Part 11] - Judging Other People
Judge not, that you be not judged. For as you judge, you will be judged: and by the measure you use, you will be measured.
Why do you worry over the speck that is in another's eye, but ignore the pole that is stuck in your own eye? How can you say to another, Let me take the speck out of your eye, when there is a greater fault in your own eye?
Hypocrite! First remove the pole from your own eye; and then you can see clearly to take out the speck from another's eye.
Romans 2:1-5
You who pass judgment on someone else have no excuse. Whenever you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment have committed the same wrongs.
We know that God's judgment against those who do such things is based on truth. So when you, a mere man, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God's judgment? Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness leads you toward repentance?
