Cantate Domino canticum novum:
Sing unto the Lord a new song:
cantate Domino omnis terra.
Sing unto the Lord, all the earth.
Cantate Domino, et benedicite nomini ejus:
Sing unto the Lord, bless His name;
annuntiate de die in diem salutare ejus.
show forth His salvation from day to day.
Annuntiate inter gentes gloriam ejus,
Declare his glory among the heathen,
in omnibus populis mirabilia ejus.
His wonders among all people.
Quoniam magnus Dominus,
For the Lord is great,
et laudabilis nimis:
and greatly to be praised:
terribilis est super omnes deos.
He is to be feared above all gods.
Quoniam emones dii gentium daemonia:
For all the gods of the nations are idols:
Dominus autem coelos fecit.
but the Lord made the heavens.
confessio et pulchritudo in conspectu ejus:
Honour and majesty are before Him:
sanctimonia et magnificentia in sanctificatione ejus.
strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
Afferte Domino patriae Gentium,
Give unto the Lord, o ye families of the people,
afferte Domino gloriam et honorem:
give unto the Lord glory and strength
afferte Domino gloriam nomini ejus.
Give unto the Lord the glory due unto His name:
Jollite hostias, et introite in atria ejus:
bring an offering, and come into His courts.
adorate Dominum in atria sancto ejus.
O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness:
Commoveatur a facie ejus universa terra:
fear before Him, all the earth.
dicite in Gentibus quia Dominus regnavit.
say among the heathen that the Lord reigneth:
Eternim correxit orbem terrae
the world also shall be established
qui non commoevbitur:
that it shall not be moved:
judicabit populos in sequitate.
He shall judge the people righteously.
Leatentur caeli et exsultet terra:
Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad;
commoveatur mare, et plentitudo ejus:
let the sear roar, and the fulness thereof.
gaudebunt campi, et omnia quae in eis sunt.
Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein;
Tunc exsultabunt omnia ligna
Then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice
silvarum a facie domini quia venit:
before the Lord; for He cometh,
quoniam venit judicare terram.
for He cometh to judge the earth;
Judicabit orbem terrae in aequitate,
he shall judge the world with righteousness,
et populos in veritate sua.
and the people with his truth.
