Lord's Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever.
Intercession for the World
Accept, O Lord, my intercessions for all mankind. Let the light of your Gospel shine upon all nations; and I pray that those who hear it, will receive it; and those who receive it, will accept it and live in accordance with it. Be gracious unto your Church; and grant that every member of it, in his vocation and ministry, may serve you faithfully. Bless all in authority over me; and so rule their hearts and strengthen their hands, that they may punish wickedness and vice, and maintain your true religion and virtue. Send down your blessings, temporal and spiritual, upon all my relations, friends, and neighbours. Reward all who have done me good, and pardon all those who have done or wished me evil, giving them the blessing of true repentance. Be merciful to all who are in any trouble; and I pray that you, the God of pity, will administer to them according to their needs; for his sake who healed the sick and comforted the poor, your Son our Saviour Jesus Christ.Community of Prayer
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be among the community of all who pray in the name of Christ this morning, and remain among us always.
Think of the day ahead in terms of God with you, and visualize health, strength, guidance, purity, calm confidence, and victory as the gifts of His presence.

Gospel of Matthew 6:5-15
The Sermon on the Mount [Part 8] - The Lord's Prayer
When you pray, you should not pray like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by others. Truly I tell you, They have received their reward.
But you, when you pray, go into a room inside your house, and having shut thy door, pray to your Father, who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will recompense you.
In prayer, do not use not meaningless repetition, as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard better if they speak much. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need, before you ask him. Instead, pray like this:
"Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen."
For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive yours.
A More Literal Translation of The Lord's Prayer
Young's Literal Translation of Matthew 6:9-13 (Robert Young, 1898)
9 thus therefore pray ye: `Our Father who [art] in the heavens! hallowed be Thy name.
10 Thy reign come: Thy will come to pass, as in heaven also on the earth.
11 Our appointed bread give us today.
12 And forgive us our debts, as also we forgive our debtors.
13 And mayest Thou not lead us to temptation, but deliver us from the evil, because Thine is the reign, and the power, and the glory — to the ages. Amen.
