Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever.
This piece is so beautiful if one follows the lyrics. “Ah, Lord, let Your dear little angel, at my final end, take my soul to Abraham’s bosom.”

Prayer of St. Patrick
Lord, be with me and all who love you, this day:

To Receive God
God, of your goodness give me yourself for you are sufficient for me. I cannot properly ask anything less, to be worthy of you. If I were to ask less, I should always be in want. In you alone do I have all.
Prayer of Salvation
Most blessed Christ, I thank you that you have answered me and have become my salvation. No matter how weak or lowly I may feel, I will always remember your words: that those whom the earth despises — the stones that the builders rejected — have become the cornerstone of your church.
Let me be strong in faith and strong in your Spirit; for only by You, Lord Christ, may the gates of righteousness be opened to a sinner. I pray that I may be part of the foundation of your church on earth, and that by your grace, the gates of righteousness may be opened to me and to all who confess your holy name.
Meditation
Our fundamental goal, as Christians, is to correct our own conduct and leave Christ in control of the outcome.
Benediction
I pray that I may be blessed every step of my path this day by the great God of light. May your sun shine upon me; as the moon moves the tide, may your Spirit move my emotions with every grace and magic; may my heart sing with the voice of your angels and my hearth be warm; and may this and every blessed day You have given me be filled with joy.
Think of the day ahead in terms of God with you, and visualize health, strength, guidance, purity, calm confidence, and victory as the gifts of His presence.

The Source of the Gospel (Galatians #6)
hese verses strongly reinforce the preceding verses, i.e., that Paul did not seek to please men by modifying his Gospel, but sought to please God by always speaking the truth. Here, then, he gives the reason underlying and supporting his refusal to compromise his teachings.
Paul is not writing his understanding, much less his opinion, of the good news given to humanity by God. He is writing and speaking thoughts which were given to him by God Himself. Paul’s epistles are the Word of God, not the word of Paul. They are written in Paul’s style — and we deal with two meanings of the word “word” in English, unfortunately. Paul’s “words” are Paul’s; Paul’s content and meaning are the “Word” of God.
What has been written by one person can always be criticized, improved upon, disputed, or ignored by another. What has been revealed as the will of God cannot. And so Paul cements his position by this, the topic of the rest of Chapter 1 of Galatians: evidence that the Gospel he teaches was not written by him, nor taught to him by men, but revealed to him directly by Christ.
On the road to Damascus, when Paul was converted — and if you are not familiar with it, please read the account of Paul's conversion in Acts 9:1-19, because you will need to know this to understand Galatians — he experienced Christ. He did not see a human Jesus, but rather a flash of light; whether the voice he heard sounded like Jesus, the man, is unstated. But Christ had, by this time, been glorified; his body had ascended.
This was not an appearance of the resurrected body of Jesus, such as we see on the road to Emmaus. This was a “theophany”, a physical manifestation of God to a human being. Paul saw and heard Christ, the ascended person of God. Yes, Christ showed Himself in a peculiar form, but this is not unusual for theophanies. For example, God appeared to Moses as a burning bush.
Christ’s appearances after His resurrection, but before His ascension, were different from the “theophany” manifested to Paul.
