The Ultimate Unending Love Gift

“Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us.”

~Ephesians 5:2

Living in society is fast paced, and oftentimes God's people need to have the confirmation of how many ways our Heavenly Father shows how extensively He loves them. It is increasingly difficult for a person to be ever alert to detect God's love that is constantly surrounding them.

A few examples of His ways expressing love towards individuals are: The ocean with its waves splashing the shoreline; puffy white clouds in the blue sky; the fresh green tree leaves in the Springtime; the wild animals scurrying around in their own fast paced world; the words of a song that tells about God's love; the smell of a fresh rain; and a bird and/or animal teaching its young how to survive in the wild. They all reflect God's vastness, omnipresence, and unending love of our Heavenly Father that He freely provides to people and animals alike.

Helen Steiner Rice wrote a poem titled, “God's Love”. A few lines are: “God's love is like an island...in life's ocean vast and wide...God's love is like an anchor when the angry billows roll...God's love is like a fortress...and we seek protection there...God's love is like a harbor...where our souls can find sweet rest...God's love is like a beacon...burning bright with faith and prayer...”.

God's love is unconditional, and it is His decision to love you for eternity. He loves you not for the things that you do, but for who you are, and it will never diminish. His desire is for all individuals to accept His love as a gift from Him.

You cannot go anywhere on earth that God is not. He is with you while you drive the automobile and/or riding in a transportation system, or working at your profession, or shopping in a store; even then, He covers you with His presence. He surrounds and watches over you; and guards you as His most precious possession.

Someone once said that the Bible is God's love letter. In Galatians, Paul reminds all believers that God's love for them will never change. He loves you as greatly today as when He sacrificed His Son for you.

In “Streams In The Desert”, Margaret Bottome stated: “Our restlessness within can only be met by the revelation of His eternal friendship and love for us”. God's community of believers ought to keep praying for Him to breathe additional love and life within them so they can become increasingly aware of the circumstances that express His unfailing love.

What an honor and blessing that has been bestowed upon all believers to be able to spend not only their life, but also eternity being accepted and loved by God. That is the ultimate unending love gift!

Lord God, thank You for loving us just as we are. Help us to become more aware of Your expressions of love in the world that we live in. Amen.
